Balance Grille is a fast growing, Asian American, Fast-casual restaurant concept based in Toledo, Ohio. Created by two University of Toledo alumni in 2009 as a completely grass-roots endeavor, Balance has grown to encompass a social movement in food. The first restaurant opened its doors in Maumee Ohio in 2010, and serves as the concept store where new dishes, technologies, and ideas are tested and perfected. The second location opened in July 2012 in Sylvania Ohio features an all-new Transparent Kitchen Design, and is currently undergoing an expansion that will be complete Spring 2013. The expansion will double the restaurant’s footprint, adding seating for over 50 guests as well as a TeaBar which serves Organic, Fair-Trade Teas served hot, and Hand-Shaken BubbleTeas served cold in a variety of flavors.
Head Chef HoChan Banger Jang brings over 15 years of restaurant experience, closely working with his parent’s highly successful traditional Chinese restaurant (The China in Bowling Green, OH). His modern view of classic Asian cuisine has lead to a fusion-menu featuring innovative flavor and texture combinations with a focus on healthy and balanced dining.
Our aim is to combine healthy dining choices, modern flavor combinations, innovative technology, and an upscale urban atmosphere to create a unique and memorable dining experience for under $10.
Our belief is that all restaurants should serve food that was made from scratch, with fresh ingredients, without any artificial flavors or ingredients. After all, if you wanted a microwaved meal, you could always goto the freezer section… Why goto a restaurant?
