Balance Grille to Open First Location Outside of Ohio

First up, Colorado.

After years of planning, we’re back to growth mode and ready to take our fast-casual Pan-Asian fusion concept to the next level—i.e. expanding into different states and regions—and we are proud to announce that the first Balance Grille location outside of Ohio is set to open in Arvada, Colorado, a community just a few miles Northwest of Denver, this July.  To help guide the brand’s expansion, Balance has partnered with the industry-experienced leadership team at Pivotal Growth Partners in order to position Balance Grille as the preeminent Asian fast casual concept nationwide.

The Arvada location is part of a new food hall called Freedom Street Social, owned and operated by Toledo native Nick Costanzo. Named after the East Toledo street where Nick grew up, Freedom Street Social offers a little piece of home to any Toledo visitors or transplants who find themselves in the Denver area, and delivers a true taste of the Midwest to Southwest residents and vacationers. Balance also happens to be Nick’s favorite hometown restaurant, and he knew it had to be an anchor point in his new food hall venture. The space features 7 different food vendors, with a bar on one end, and a full-blown Balance location on the other corner end. Just like all of our Ohio-based restaurants, the Balance inside Freedom Street will feature all our signature branding elements from Toledo, including:

• Custom-made furniture by Craig Mossing of Mossing Studios

• Kitchen equipment supplied by Burkett Restaurant Equipment & Supplies

• A signature Balance mural created by tattoo artist Tony Touch Tat2

To kick things off with a recipe for success, we’re sending our A-Team of Balance specialists to train our new Colorado crew. Jimmy is working with Regan to share Front of the House operations and tips. Trell is teaching Kyle all of Balance’s Back of the House ways. Trina is training Jay on our Tea Bar recipes and tricks. Finally, owners CJ and PK are working with Brian (also originally from Ohio) to fully incorporate the same operations procedures we have across our other Balance locations.
