New Class of Leaders to take Balance to the Next Level

We are happy to announce that as we enter our next phase of growth, we have awarded a few internal promotions within our Balance Fam. We are excited for and looking forward to seeing our staff continue to grow alongside the brand and just as thankful to have the support of our amazing customers in order to continue to expand and provide these opportunities to our employees.

Our specialists focus on training and making sure our team is always leveling up and helping us open new locations (more on that soon!).
Jimmy Planas
Jimmy has been promoted to Front of House Specialist. He has been with Balance for 7 years and his favorite menu item is the Citrus Brussels. His favorite thing about working at Balance is being able to work as a team with coworkers that have become more than just coworkers but friends & family. A fun fact about Jimmy is that he is the Fan Favorite! No seriously, everyone here loves Jimmy – he’s amazing! Being the favorite comes with lots of nicknames like the following: Yim-yim-sala-him, Yim, Yummy, Sir-Yims-Alot, Him, and Yim-Yam. He also used to wear a Banana costume but that’s a story for another day.
Trina Tran
Trina has been promoted to Tea Bar Specialist and has been with Balance for 3 years in June. Her favorite menu items are Citrus Brussels and the Sweet Red Bean Bubble Tea. Her favorite things about working at Balance is being able to roll-out new tea menus, helping with the creative names, and building a team that thrives on innovation. A fun fact about Trina is she always has the coolest hair at Balance, always sporting all the colors!
Trell Smith
Trell has been promoted toBack of House Specialist and has been with Balance for 9 years with a few breaks in between. His favorite menu item is the Five Spice Poppers. His favorite things about working at Balance are what Balance stands for as a business and being able to build a team that thrives on quality and accuracy. He also enjoys that he gets to use a wok! A fun fact about Trell is that he can do a backflip!

Operations
Our Operations Assistant works directly with our Co-Founder and Chef to oversee the day-to-day operations at all of our locations, supporting all of our leadership team, and project managing our continuous improvement.
Hunter Parsons
Hunter has been promoted to Operations Assistant and has been with Balance for 2 years. His favorite menu item of late has been the Wasabi Aioli Tacos with steak, but his tastes are ever changing! His favorite things about working at Balance are the fun and team driven work environment and his coworkers! A fun fact about Hunter is he Is a big video game and board game nerd and obsessed with Star Wars. He also plays bass for 2 different music projects!

Store Leaders
Our Store Leaders run the day-to-day operations focused on a specific store, focusing on team building, consistency, and support for shift leaders.
Dylan Digby
Dylan has been promoted to Perrysburg Store Leader. Dylan has been with Balance for less than a year, but his experience in the restaurant industry is further than that. His favorite menu item is the Curry Bowl with Tofu & Green Curry! His favorite thing about working at Balance is the food specifically. He also enjoys prepping the food for stores, working our ninja position. A fun fact about Dylan is that he has played guitar and been in bands for over 10 years!
Jeremy O’Hara
Jeremy has been promoted to Sylvania Store Leader. Jeremy has been with Balance for the past 5 years. His favorite menu item is the Budda Bowl and his favorite thing about working at Balance is the people he works with! A fun fact about Jeremy is that he plays guitar in a band with our Perrysburg Store Leader Dylan!
Mitch Reyes
Mitch has been promoted to Cleveland Store Leader! His favorite menu item is currently unknown, but if you see him at the restaurant and ask him, please let us know!
